In this 10th installment, Seldon addresses the question ¿Why are scientific theories, and theories in general, so problematic?.











Seldon --

Part of the ‘‘‘root cause’’’ of the ‘problematicity’ of theories in general is this:

Theories in general reflect the depth of penetration -- the ‘‘‘depth’’’ of appropriation -- of ‘exo-human Nature’, and of human Nature, by humanity; by human societal self-reproductive praxis, at the time of promulgation of the theories of that time, and the ‘human-phenomic’ context of those theories’ arisings.

I.e., theories reflect the attained level of development of ‘the human-societal self-reproductive self-force’ as of the historical epoch in which they arise.”

“As long as there are further layers, further scales of Nature, behind and ‘‘‘deeper than’’’, the scale, and the ‘‘‘depth’’’, that the human appropriation of Nature has attained, as of the epoch in which the theories in question have arisen, then those theories “leave out”, and cannot be in resonance with, those, as yet humanly-undiscovered, ‘‘‘deeper’’’ layers of reality.”

“With respect to those then as yet humanly-unplumbed layers, the collective human mind, the ‘con-scientia’ of the human species of that time, the prevailing human «mentalité», has not yet become ‘‘‘appropriate’’’ to these deeper realities.”

“The theories, made by those of that «mentalité», and comprehensible by others of that «mentalité», reflect that deficiency.”

“However, the immanent ‘praxical’ consequences of that deficiency may become broadly evident to the human community only over and after a protracted history of anomalous experiment and other experience.

In this 9th installment, Seldon describes the self-reflexive moment of Marxian Theory -- the immanent requirement of that Theory to account for itself; for its own history.











Seldon --

To be as complete as possible, Marxian Theory must include a ‘theory of itself’.”

“That is, Marxian Theory must evolve to be able to explain, in its own terms, its own advent and origin -- the how, the why, the why-when, and the why-where of its own coming-to-be.

“Marxian Theory, the critique of all ideology par excellence, must, to be so, also evolve to be able to analyze, and, in fact, to explain -- again, in its own native terms -- the how, the why, the why-when, and the why-where of its protracted global degeneration into the vicious ideology of Leninist Marxism.

“That is, Marxian Theory, to be so -- indeed, to fully come to be itself -- must explain the rise and protracted endurance of a global ideology attempting to legitimize the terroristic, totalitarian, police-state rule of one-party, state-bureaucratic national ruling classes, as state-capitalist substitutes for the private-capitalist bourgeoisie, in imposing “primitive accumulation” across the key, most-extensive territories of the “semi-periphery” of the original geographical core of industrial capitalist development.”

“To do so, Marxian Theory must become fully what is always was potentially, in germ -- e.g., an actualization of the fictional “psychohistory” of Isaac Asimov; a theory of, at root, human, psychohistorical materialism’.”

“Indeed, as I have so often argued before, Karl Marx is the greatest real psychohistorian that Terran humanity has so far produced.

In this 8th installment, Seldon describes that in which the progress of a dialectical categorial progression consists.







Seldon --

Per our method, a dialectical categorial progression is that which is generated by the self-[re-]iterated self-involution of the «arché» ‘categorogram’ of a given Domain, within the known cosmos, or for the known cosmos as a whole as that Domain [i.e., ‘The [singular] Dialectic of Nature’], when the so-generated, combinatorically possible, initially algebraic-unknown symbol-formations can be defined, by the modeler, i.e., assigned to known categories of distinct kinds of units -- to known ontology; to known «arithmoi» of «monads» -- inhering in that Domain.”


“Such a categorial progression consists of an ordered ‘ontological categorial analysis’ of the ontological contents of that Domain, expressed as a ‘consecuum-cumulum’ series of solved/defined ‘category-symbols’, exhibiting consecutively-increasing determinateness, consecutively-increasing complexity, consecutively-increasing thought-concreteness, up until the ultimate extant category of the given Domain is reached, after a finite count of ‘category-symbols’ has been generated and defined/solved.”


“Such a non-amalgamative ‘‘‘sum’’’ or “series” of ‘category-symbols’ consists of a single ideographic archeogramsymbol, representing the «arché» category of the Domain, followed by an alternating series of [[partial and] full] ideographic contragrams and [partial and full] ideographic unigrams.”


“The ‘‘‘progress’’’ of such a dialectical categorial progression, whether systematic/~synchronic, or historical/macro-diachronic..., consists in the movement/ontological growth/ontological expansion, modeled via the consecutive escalation in value of the whole-number independent variable involution parameter, that counts the successive, stage-wise expansion -- whether the step-wise s or the epoch-wise tau -- of the model of that progression, from an «arché»-category/kind-«arithmos» that explicitly encompasses, perhaps, only a small part of the «monads» that inhere in the given Domain that is to be ontologically modeled/comprehended/explained, expanding toward, and, finally, expanding to, a ‘qualitative superposition’/“non-amalgamative sum” of qualities/‘category-symbols’/kind-«arithmoi» that, as defined/solved by the modeler, together encompass all of the ‘essence-ial’ «monads» that are implicitly represented by this categorial partitioning of the Domain’s ontological «arithmoi», i.e., that inhere in that Domain, including the exceptional, “tail of the distribution” «monads», also ‘essence-ial’ rather than ‘‘‘accidental’’’ to that Domain.
