Dialectic: ‘Centrality of «Aufheben»’, Part 11:  Seldon’s ‘‘‘Seeings’’’ Series --

 ‘The Centrality of the «Aufheben» Process/Relation to Seldonian Dialectics’.

It is my pleasure, and my honor, as an officer of the Foundation Encyclopedia Dialectica [F.E.D.] Office of Public Liaison, and as a voting member of F.E.D., to share with you, from time to time, as they are approved for public release by the F.E.D. General Council, key excerpts from the internal writings, and from the internal sayings, of our co-founder, Karl Seldon.

This 11th instalment addresses the «Aufheben» Process/Relation as the essence of Seldonian dialectic.

Seldon:

“The «aufheben» process [historically, diachronically, ‘chrono-taxonomically’, as in ‘‘‘historical dialectic’’’] and the resulting «aufheben» relation [systematically, more synchronically, ‘ideo-taxonomically’, as in ‘‘‘systematic dialectic’’’], is the very essence of all true dialectic.”

“What we term ‘meta-unit-ization’, ‘meta-«monad»-ization’, ‘meta-element-ization’, or ‘meta-holon-ization’, is the process among the units or «monads» of the ‘trans-Pythagorean’, ‘trans-Platonian’ ‘‘‘concrete numbers’’’ [«arithmoi aisthetoi»] of ‘‘‘The Kinds’’’, i.e. of the self-expanding Domain of ontological categories extant, that, by the concurrent [self-]elevation/[self-]conservation/[self-]transformation [‘‘‘determinate [self-]negation’’’] actions, i.e., by the «aufheben» actions, of the ‘‘‘concrete units’’’ that those categories represent, constitute our cosmos within any given cosmological epoch.”

“Those [self-]«aufheben» actions also constitute the more ‘statical’ «aufheben» relations that instantiate the cosmos as present within a given epoch of cosmological ‘self-meta-evolution’:  The ‘meta-unit-ic’, ‘meta-«monad»-ic’, ‘meta-element-ic’, or ‘meta-holon-ic’ relations par excellence among ‘‘‘[self-]elevated’’’ [in ‘qualo-fractal scale’], and thereby also ‘‘‘[self-]conserved’’’, and thereby also ‘‘‘[self-]transformed [dialectically [self-]negated]’’’ [meta^w-]units, of varying ‘‘‘degrees’’’ [w], of those ‘‘‘Kinds’’’, also of, correspondingly, varying ‘‘‘degrees’’’ [w].”
