As a prelude to our forthcoming blog-entries series on ‘The Self-Resurging Big Surge’/‘spandetrons’ Cosmological Hypothesis, we offer the following excerpt reported as from a 28 October 2021 Scientific American article by Conor Purcell, on a new paper submitted for publication to the Journal for Cosmology and Astro-Particle Physics, co-authored by Daniele Oriti –

 

“According to Daniele Oriti… the core idea behind any theory of quantum gravity is that gravitation arises from a myriad of tiny, discrete, quantum objects that form a sort of hidden underworld, a deeper substructure beneath the familiar dimensions of space and time.”

“These quantum objects, which are very difficult to imagine,” Oriti says, “are essentially the building blocks of space itself.  They do not exist in space, but are themselves the very stuff out of which space is made.” [emphases added by M.D.].
