A Systematic Dialectic of Human-Social Classes in Capitalism, with Seeds of Its Successor System.

Dear Reader,

It is my pleasure, and my honor, as an elected member of the Foundation Encyclopedia Dialectica [F.E.D.] General Council, and as a voting member of F.E.D., to share, with you, from time to time, as they are approved for public release by the F.E.D. General Council, key excerpts from the internal writings, and from the internal sayings, of our co-founder, Karl Seldon.

This 11th release of this new such series is posted below [Some E.D. standard edits have been applied, in the version presented below, by the editors of the F.E.D. Special Council for the Encyclopedia, to the direct transcript of our co-founder’s discourse].

Seldon –

“The key to comprehending the ‘dialectogram’ posted above is to see that the sub-species of the ‘worker-capitalists’ species represent, especially within its worker-cooperatives sub-species, the embryonic irruption of a new kind of social class, and of a new kind of “social relation of production”, one that internalizes, within each of its individuals, the capitalists versus wage-workers social contradiction central to the capitalist system of societal self-reproduction, and that thus seeds the solution to that social contradiction.”

“Such a solution can ripen into the successor system to the presently-prevailing, [state-]capitalist system, a successor system described in our ‘‘‘Equitism’’’ proposal for the constitutional legalization of such a successor system.”

“This solution is particularly evident in its provision for the new ‘Citizen Stewardship Equity’ universal human right, property right, and human-social relation of human-societal self-re-production.”

“The numerosity of this third, «tertium quid», ‘worker-capitalists’ class, like that of the urban merchants and laborers classes in the European transition from feudalism to capitalism, must be small at first.”

“But, as this third class grows in numerosity with the development of the capitalist system – of its ‘human-societal self-reproductive self-force’, and of its corresponding ‘human-social relations of societal self-re-production’ – the potential insights of capitalist nation-state populations worldwide into a successor system to the capitalist system will wax in their probability of actualization.”

“This is especially so under the -- for the vast majority of human beings -- growing pressures of the globally-devastating, ever-worsening crises of contracted social reproduction that descendence-phase capitalism especially generates so resistlessly, and which increasingly delegitimate the rosy claims of the capitalist-apologist ideologues.”
