Part 02:
Misgivings in about ‘meta-humanoids’ Series.
¿‘A New
Antagonism
between
Humanity
and
Meta-Humanity’?
GLOBAL STRATEGIC HYPOTHESES.
Dear Reader,
I
want to be the one to present this issue to you, which is the concern to be
addressed by the second part of this series.
We
of F.E.D. foresee, and predict, a future emergenc[e][y] which
is already extant in ‘protoic’ form: the irruption, from out of the densest and
most developed concentrations of the human genome/phenome, of a new ‘cosmo-ontology’,
as a new, dialectical speciation beyond the human species. This irruption is not imminent, but it is
important to make preparations, now, to help mitigate the future ‘psychohistorical
crisis’ that this irruption, as we ‘pre-construct’ it, will entail.
We
‘pre-construct’, symbolically, that this dialectical speciation of a, local, ‘meta-humanity’,
born out of humanity here on planet Earth, will consist in three, dialectically
interconnected new species of the ‘meta-human’ –
(1)
an «arché»-species of genomically self-re-engineered ‘meta-humans’, in a
genome re-engineering mediated via the advanced technologies of the human phenome;
(2)
a first ‘contra-species’ of AI android robots;
(3)
a first ‘uni-species’ of AI cyborgs, combining genomically re-engineered
features and parts, with AI android robot features and parts.
We
expect that all three species will exhibit individual life-spans much extended
with respect to also-extended genomic human individual life-spans.
We
expect that species (1) and (3) will, along with incorporating photosynthetic
capabilities – e.g., in the form of chloroplasts in the sub-cutaneous lymph flow – also
incorporate the in-body production of phyto-chemicals and today-plant-sourced
micro-nutrients which, ingested, e.g., in pill form, are already extending the
life-spans of genomic humans, along with plant-based diets.
We
expect that these genomic alterations will also include gene-level resistance
to space radiation, and to the wasting of muscle mass and other physiological
conditions due to extended periods of weightlessness.
Thus, species (1) and (3) will, we expect (a.) generate some of their carbohydrate and protein food elements in-body, by means of their internalized photosynthesis metabolism; (b.) generate some Oxygen, utilizing some of the Carbon Dioxide generated by their cellular respiration to feed back into their sub-cutaneous photosynthesis systems, and utilizing some of the Oxygen generated by that photosynthesis system to power their cellular respiration as well; (c.) be able to accomplish this in-body photosynthesis simply via sunlight photons – or even via other stars’ starlight photons – falling upon the dermis.
For
this reason, we expect that space travel, and trans-Earth settlements, in our
Solar System, e.g., on the moon, Mars, and elsewhere, will be populated more by species (1) and (2) and (3) ‘meta-humans’; than by genomic humans – the costs and risks of dispatching
genomic humans into outer space being so substantially higher than those of
sending ‘meta-humans’.
Along
with the other differences already potentiating conflict between genomic humans
and ‘meta-humans’ – including differences in bodily appearance, health, longevity, sensory
capabilities, intelligence, etc. – this difference may precipitate a new and
deeper antithesis.
And
this, without even addressing the – oft envisioned in science fiction now for
many decades – involvement of ‘meta-human’ species (2), may have potentially
devastating consequences for our childrens’ and grand childrens’ futures – and even
for our own.
This
division, unlike the class divisions plaguing pre-historic
human societies – including capitalist societies – does not
look to be rooted in the social relations of human-societal self-re-production,
in the way that class divisions were.
But this new, inter-species divide could become definitive and
destructive for future, ‘post-pre-historic’ society.
Those whose self-identities reside, at least in part, in the future of humanity, should, if they have not already, take note of this future ‘meta-evolutionary’ hazard, and begin thinking about ways to mitigate it.
