In this 8th installment, Seldon defines real ‘‘‘Psychohistory’’’ as ‘Meta¹-Science’’’.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Seldon –

 

“The content and function of ‘‘‘Psychohistory’’’ – not of Asimovian, fictional “psychohistory”, but of, presently-emergent, real ‘‘‘Psychohistory’’’ -- is to [meta-scientifically] explain/account for/comprehend the content of ‘‘‘The Human Phenome’’’, of the human ‘‘‘memes pool’’’, past-to-present, and predicted future; is thus also to comprehend the ‘Social Self’ of the psychohistorians as ‘comprehenders’ of that totality of human, ‘‘‘cultural’’’, ‘psychê-ic’ phenotypes’.”

 

“This includes, of course, accounting for the “metaphoric”, ‘analogic’, ‘image-istic’, and otherwise non-data-determined features of humanity’s scientific hypotheses and theories, and explaining the qualitative differences between theories of the same phenomena, but theories which arise at different times in the same human places, and/or at the same time in different human places.”

In this 7th installment, Seldon describes the higher level, spiral return-with-development of the original Pythagorean worldview as it as has emerged. To-date, in the Encyclopedia Dialectica research-product.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Seldon –

 

“All is «Arithmos».”

 

“Everywhere are «Monads».”

 

“These «Monads» include units which not only differ from one another, with “individual differences”, but which differ qualitatively, which differ in kind, which differ ontologically.”

 

“An «Arithmos» is a ‘‘‘number’’’.”

“A «Monad» is a unit of an «Arithmos»/-‘‘‘number’’’.”

“All is ‘‘‘number’’’, in a very concrete and sensuous sense.”

 

“An «Arithmos» made up out of units all of one kind is a ‘kind-number’, an ‘ontological number’.”

“A ‘‘‘Kind’’’ is an assemblage of units, all of the same ‘“species”’ – a ‘qualitative number’.”

 

“Arithmetic is ‘‘‘the science of number(s)’’’.”

 

“The ‘_NQ Arithmetic’ is an arithmetic of “purely” qualitative [meta-]numerals.”

 

“Each unit/«monad» of the finite-indefinite ‘‘‘number of units’’’/«arithmos» named _NQ is, in its uttermost root meaning, a symbolic, ideographical, ‘[meta-]numeralic’, ‘qualitative ordinal number’.  That is, the generic unit/«monad» of the _NQ «arithmos», namely q_n, incorporates the generic “natural” number, n, as denoting the nth order-count/order-place/order-number, but the symbol q_n as a whole denotes the quality of ‘nth-ness’.”

 

“Interpreted/applied for categorial progressions, q_n denotes the nth category in a[ny] strictly-ordered categorial progression.  That is, in set-theoretic language, q_n denotes the set of all categories such that each one occupies the nth order-place in its native categorial progression; the nth category in general, the quality of categorial nth-ness – the intension of the extension of all nth-in-order categories.”   

 

 

“This generic ‘categorial arithmetic/language’ can thus be used to symbolize strictly-ordered categorial progressions of all kinds, for any ontological Domain – for ‘physi[c]o-ontological’, and for any “pure” ‘ideo-ontological’, and for any ‘‘‘mixed’’’, ‘ideo-physio-ontological’ Domain.”

 

“Starting from a chosen, specific-Domain «arché»-category, or starting-category/categorial premise, which is assigned to generic category-symbol q₁, the generic _NQ arithmetic/algebra can be used/specified so as to help elicit, from its user(‘)s(‘) mind(s), the entire systematic or historical progression of categories – reflecting the progression of the kinds of units of the actual reality of that Domain – which ostensibly constitute the comprehended ontological content/analysis of that Domain.”

“We have observed that the ‘Fundamental, ‘Singletary’, Unitary “Law” of Nature’ is ‘The “Law” of Erosis’, i.e., ‘The “Law” of the All-Scales Ubiquity and Persistency of The Cosmological «Aufheben» Process.”

 

“This Process is the ‘“bootstrap” Process’, of the ‘[self-]negational/-triple-conservational/-elevational [self-]meta-«monad»-ization’ «aufheben» operation [‘x’] of the «monads» of each, thereby successive, progressional, finitary ‘qualo-fractal’ scale/“level” of «monads» in the ‘«aufheben»-al’ dialectic of Nature/Cosmos, as THE TOTALITY –
