Dialectic:  ‘The Assumption of Combinicity’, Part 02:  ‘Seldon’s Soliloquies Series’.

Dear Reader,

It is my pleasure, and my honor, as an officer of the Foundation Encyclopedia Dialectica [F.E.D.] Office of Public Liaison, and as a voting member of F.E.D., to share with you, from time to time, as they are approved for public release by the F.E.D. General Council, key excerpts from the internal writings, and from the internal sayings, of our co-founder, Karl Seldon.

This 2nd installment addresses ‘the dialectic of the «genos» of hesion’, e.g., in the forms, or «species», of ‘co-hesion’ and/versus of ‘ad-hesion’, i.e., ‘the dialectic of erosis’, in the Seldonian dialectic as mapped by the language of the _NQ arithmetic for dialectics.

Seldon:

“...Our, dialectical, interpretation of the _NQ arithmetic/algebra presupposes or assumes the general, generic ‘combinatoricity’ or ‘combinicity’ of typical, ontological «monads»; that typical ontological «species» ‘«arithmoi»-of- «monads»’ -- reflected in human minds as ontological categories -- typically contain at least one sub-«species» of «monads» that will tend to ‘‘‘fuse’’’; that will ‘co-here’ with their own kind, and/or that will ‘ad-here’ with other kinds.  E.g., among the ‘pre-nuclear/sub-nuclear’ “particles”, not all bosons and fermions will cohere/combine with one another.  But “quarks” and “gluons” will, under certain cosmological conditions, cohere/combine, e.g., creating the ‘nuclear sub-atomic’ “particles” known as, “mesons” and “protons”, as well as short-lived “hyperons”, etc.  And “protons” and “electrons” will, under some conditions, adhere/combine to form “neutrons”.

“This generic, widespread, essentially universal phenomenon of ‘erosis’; this dialectic of the «genos» of ‘hesions’ -- i.e., of its «species» of ‘co-hesions’, or ‘auto-hesions’, or ‘homeo-hesions’, and/versus its «species» of ‘ad-hesions’, or ‘allo-hesions’, or ‘hetero-hesions’ -- is a key feature of the ‘dialecticality’ of experienced reality.  Without the ubiquity of this phenomenon, we might counter-factually suppose, that there would be little or no «aufheben» -- little or no  «aufheben» ‘self-meta-«monad»-ization’ or ‘auto-meta-«monad»-ization’, and little or no «aufheben» ‘allo-meta-«monad»-ization’.”

“«Aufheben» ‘co-hesion’ is the genesis of dialectical, ‘contra-Boolean’, ‘self-hybridization’ or ‘self-combinatorics’, and of dialectical-ontological ‘antithesis categories’, partial and full.”

“«Aufheben» ‘ad-hesion’ is the genesis of dialectical ‘other-hybridization’ or ‘other-combinatorics’, and of dialectical-ontological ‘synthesis categories’, partial and full.”

“If ‘tersefied’ via ideogramic symbolization, what we are saying is that the emergence or irruption of a perceived new ontological «arithmos»-of-«monads» -- represented to the human mind, by the human mind, as an ontological category -- call it q_a, tends to be followed by the later emergence or irruption of a qualitatively, ontologically different, but related actuality, call it q_aa |-=  q_b. The latter tends to be followed, later still, by the emergence or irruption of a qualitatively, ontologically different, but related actuality, call it q_ba |-=  q_c.  This entire ‘ontic movement’ can be expressed, as a whole, as follows --

q_a   -->   q_a + q_b   -->   q_a + q_b + q_c

-- wherein q_aa expresses the ‘homeo-hesive moment’, and q_ba expresses the ‘hetero-hesive moment’, of the entire ‘erosis’.”

  

“Indeed, it is this inductively-derived ‘combinatory expectantcy’, or ‘combinatoric expectantcy’, that forms the basis of our hypothesis of the probability of ‘dialectical predictivity’; of our expectation of ‘the predictivity of dialectic’, in the face of new ontological emergences.”
