Matter is ‘Made
of/by Space’.

is my pleasure,
and my honor, as an elected member
of the Foundation Encyclopedia
Dialectica [F.E.D.] General Council, and as a voting member of F.E.D., to share, with you, from time to time, as they are approved for public release by the F.E.D. General Council, Seldon’s commentaries on key Encyclopedia
Dialectica concepts of Seldonian Theory.

“Per our
‘Self-Resurging Big Surge’, or ‘Regenerist’ cosmological hypothesis, all of the
vast diversity of the ‘‘‘concrete’’’ ontology that abounds in our «kosmos» is
ultimately ‘made of space’, or, more actively, was, and will be
again, in the far future of our
«kosmos», ‘made BY
space’.”
“More accurately still would be to say that, per this hypothesis, matter is made by that which space is made of – by the ‘spandetron expanse’, when it is still unchecked by “Dark Matter’s” ‘space-contractivity’, i.e., before “Dark Energy’s” accelerated self-expansion breaches a finite limit – albeit one far in excess of the speed of photon propagation – whereafter its thereby self-damaged ‘spandetrons’ “clump together”, into “Dark Matter” ‘meta1-spandetrons’ that are also ‘anti-spandetrons, in the sense of binding other/subsequent matter into non-expanding forms, and slowing down even the overall self-expansion of the, still-dominant, ‘spandetron expanse’ that is space.”
“I.e., so-called “empty space” is, per this hypothesis,
at root, “made of” what is named today “Dark Energy”, the ‘[meta0-]spandetronic
expanse’,
and “Dark Energy”,
especially once opposed by “Dark
Matter”, is also the substance of universal time itself.”
“All else is self-constructed from that “Dark Energy”, as ‘meta{n}-spandetronic’ substance, for various values of 1 < n Î N – or as ‘meta{w}-spandetronic’ substance, for various values of 0, 1
< w Î W – for specifically the ‘self-hybrid’, ‘«auto{n}-syntheta»
components of our present, known ‘«kosmo»-ontology’ [cf. Sandbox Cosmology,
by Dr. Irving Kaplan].”
“That is, all of the objects today known and extant in our «kosmos» are contents of a finitary
‘qualo-fractal’, scaled and nested mutual-similarity regress of ten known ‘self-hybrid’
scales, levels, or layers.”
“Thus, in our view, “physical space” is anything
but “empty”. It is not
the “void” of the ancient atomists, e.g., of Democritus and Lucretius. It is not the “vacuum” of modern classical
physics. On the contrary, it is a
special kind of “plenum”.”
“The “plenum” character of space, in loci of the
absence, or near-absence, of “Standard Model” matter, was already broached per
the “Uncertainty Principle” of quantum theory, for which such “space” must be a
seething cauldron of “virtual particles” – e.g., of those “particles” inhering
in our initial model’s first two ‘cosmo-ontological categories’, of n and s – a roiling,
churning chaos of creating/annihilating “particle/anti-particle pairs”.”
“Our hypothetical, primordial ‘spandetron expanse’ is,
of course, not a “plenum” – not a ‘fullness of
content’ – that our
Darwinianly-shaped, initially Terra-bound sensoria can detect,
without the mediation of advanced instrumentation only recently devised.”
“Note also that our hypothetical ‘spandetron’ «arché-monads» are not like the hypothetical “atoms”
of Leucippus, Democritus, Epicurus and Lucretius, etc. The ‘spandetrons’ are, per hypothesis, NOT “uncuttables”. On the contrary, they are ‘self-cutting’,
each ‘spandetron’
ever-self-dividing into new
‘spandetron pairs’, each of which thereafter
also incessantly self-splits, thereby ever-expanding space.”
“To
better grasp the make-up of, e.g., the «monad» that you are a part of today, per this hypothesis – namely
that human society,
‘meta-social’ unit
that you inhabit right now, you might try visualizing a nested sequence of concentric
circles, with its deepest root ontological category represented by its
center-most circle, that of the hypothetical ‘spandetrons’, x, as the
ontological category of the presently-ultimate known/hypothesized units of all ‘cosmo-ontology’.”
“Immediately surrounding that circle is the circle for
the layer of “Dark Matter” meta1-spandetrons
category, c. Surrounding that, the layer of “Standard Model particles” category, r – that of “gluons”
and “quarks”, electrons and protons and neutrons, etc. Next, the layer of atoms, a. Next, that of molecules, m. Next, that of prokaryotic cells, p, e.g.,
mitochondria and chloroplasts. Next,
that of eukaryotic cells, e. Thence, that of
‘multi-eukaryotic-cellular biota’, of asocial
animals and plants, b. Thence, that of
‘proto-language-based’
“social
animals”
and ‘social
plants’, l. Finally, that
of human
‘meta-societies’, h
– one unit of which you
are internal to right now.”
