Dialectical Categorial Progressions and Tables of Contents.
-- Part 7: Quoting
Seldon Series.
Dear Reader,
It
is my pleasure,
and my honor, as an elected member
of the Foundation Encyclopedia
Dialectica [F.E.D.] General Council, and as a voting member of F.E.D., to share, with you, from time to time, as they are approved for public release, by the F.E.D. General Council, key excerpts from the internal writings, and from the internal sayings, of our co-founder,
Karl Seldon.
This seventh release of
this new such
series is posted below
[Some E.D.
standard edits have been applied, in the version presented below, by the editors
of the F.E.D. Special Council for the Encyclopedia,
to the direct transcript of our co-founder’s
discourse].
In this 7th installment, Seldon discusses the dialectical-mathematical
modeling of the tables of contents of key books and multi-volume treatises by
means of dialectical categorial progressions.
Seldon –
“If Marx’s treatise – Das Kapital – as Marx wrote
to Ferdinand Lassalle [then the leader of a major workers’ party in Germany], on
[dd.] 22 February 1858, is –
“…a Critique of Economic Categories
or, IF YOU LIKE, a critical expose’ of the system of bourgeois economy… at once
an expose’ and, by the same token, a critique of the system.”
-- then the
Table of Contents of this multi-volume treatise by Marx must be, to a
great extent, a ‘Table of [those] Categories’.”
“Hence, that
Table, and, by reference, that treatise’s [dialectical] Contents,
should be amenable to categorial-dialectical mathematical modeling, by a
categorial-dialectical calculus [such as the NQ arithmetic/algebra for ‘dialectical categorics’].”
