Part 09: Seldon’s ‘‘‘Seeings’’’ Series --
Ontological Self-Diversification via Self-Iterated
Self-Reflexive Self-Involution.
Dear Readers,
It is my pleasure, and my honor, as an officer of the Foundation Encyclopedia Dialectica
[F.E.D.] Office of Public Liaison,
to share with
you, from
time to time, as
they
are approved
for public release by the F.E.D. General Council, key excerpts from the internal writings, and from the internal sayings, of our co-founder,
Karl Seldon.
The
ninth such release in this new series is entered below [Some E.D. standard
edits have been applied, in the version presented below, by the editors
of the Special Council for the Encyclopedia, to the direct transcript of our co-founder’s
discourse].
This 9th instalment addresses the
root of the dialectical principle of ‘Meta-Genealogy’.
Seldon:
“...What the Dyadic
and Triadic «aufheben»-functions [E.D. Editors: What we -- all except for Seldon himself -- call ‘the Dyadic and Triadic Seldon
Functions’.] describe is the ontological
self-diversification of a given [sub-]universe[-of-discourse] that results from
self-iterated, self-reflexive, self-refluxive, «aufheben» self-involution, beginning from the ‘ultimate ancestor ontology’, or ‘«arché»-ontology’, of that
[sub-]universe or Domain.”
“...Indeed,
it is this ‘ontological self-diversification’ which creates what we call a
‘meta-genealogy’ -- a [generally] non-DNA-based, more
comprehensive sort of ‘‘‘genealogy’’’.”
“...In
such, ‘dialectical or «aufheben»
self-diversification of the «arché»
of a given Encyclopedia Dialectica-identified Domain’, D,
‘self-continuates’ beyond that stage one or epoch one -- beyond, e.g., Dt2 = 1, or Dt3 = 1, in terms of its Domain’s ‘dialectical meta-model’ -- creating a
‘meta-lineage’, a non-DNA-based
ontological lineage.”
“...As
such, in that ‘meta-lineage’, every successive ontological kind is ‘familialy’
connected -- connected by ancestry -- all the way back to the «arché» kind, so that, explicitly,
every successive ontological kind is already connected to every other that
irrupted into existence before it, by way of ontological, «aufheben»
‘self-hybridization’ [‘self-meta-unit-ization’] or by ontological, «aufheben»
‘allo-hybridization’...”
“This
way of describing the process sounds like this description holds only for diachronic,
‘“historical dialectics”’.”
“But synchronic, ‘“systematic dialectics”’ follow a parallel course, at their most abstract, generic root.”
