Dear Reader,

The ‘dialectogram’ posted above depicts the dialectical-categorial progression of human-social Ideologies\-Knowledges, in our [psycho]history to-date, whose so-far final ‘dialectical [meta-]equation’ is, including only its ‘self-hybrid’ category symbols, eliding all of its ‘merely-hybrid’ category-symbols, and using the, lately simplified, categorial notation –

KL25  |-=

KL ~Å~ KA~Å~ KM ~Å~ KR ~Å~

KP ~Å~ KS.

– the third self-hybrid category-symbol, corresponding to the ‘ordinal quality’ of ‘4th-ness’, is KM, our category symbol, in this notation, for the ideo-ontological’ category of Mythologies units.

Now, per this ‘dialectical [meta-]model’, Mythology units irrupted after human, Homo sapiens sapiens Languages and, and also after Homo sapiens sapiens Arts had already irrupted, in preceding ‘metafinite resonance singularities’ of human-social ideo-meta-evolution’, and before more-codified, more doctrinaire, more dogmatic Religions irrupted, even, as such, by their epoch, as eventually set-down in writings – i.e., in “scriptures”.

However, not all units of Mythology ideo-ontology’ became ‘‘‘extinct’’’ after the irruption of Religion units, any more than human Language units disappeared after the irruption of primitive Arts units, and any more than all Arts units died out after Mythologies units irrupted.

The ‘meta-evolution’ of human ideo-ontology’ was, at this meta-equation’s level of categorization, ‘‘‘evolute’’’, not ‘‘‘convolute’’’, and not even ‘covolute’.

Moreover, brand new units of ‘Mythologies ideo-ontology’ continue to be born to this very day.

A case in point is the work of J.R.R. Tolkein, especially in his world-famous novel-trilogy, The Lord of the Rings.

One feature of his writings in that trilogy loomed up into our attention very recently.

That trilogy includes exceedingly rich and extended descriptions of “Middle Earth” landscapes.

I perceive these landscape-descriptions as narrations of natural formations, influenced – indeed imprinted – by the feelings of the human, elven, dwarrow, orc and other ‘self-sentient’ beings who, per the novels-series, enacted mass-traumatic events there.

Tolkein describes his landscapes as if ‘congelations of mass emotions’, as if ‘‘‘frozen’’’ emotions, in a kind of ‘‘‘psychometry’’’ of entire landscapes.

This approach thereby gives great meaning and significance to Tolkein’s lands-descriptions.  Those “lands” are not just random fragments of nature, that humans and other ‘self-sentient’ beings are, meaninglessly, “just passing through”.  Their “passings-through” are passages through the past histories of the peoples of Middle Earth, albeit often imprinting new such histories as they pass.

Mythologies, after all, are aimed at satisfying and comforting human emotions, rather than attempting seriously to explain Nature and/or ‘human Nature’.

And again, ‘evolutely’, Mythologies are still with us today, even if not as “believed” as they once were, when they constituted the ‘meta-meristem’ of the Domain of human Ideologies/Knowledges.
