‘COVOLUTIONS’.

It is my pleasure, and my honor, as an elected member of the Foundation Encyclopedia Dialectica [F.E.D.] General Council, and as a voting member of F.E.D., to share, with you, from time to time, as they are approved for public release by the F.E.D. General Council, Encyclopedia Dialectica insights into key concepts of Seldonian Theory.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The text posted below describes the Encyclopedia Dialectica concept of ‘covolutions’, as the dialectical synthesis category for the antithetical categories of the ‘convolute’ and the ‘evolute’ kinds of ‘volutenesses’.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Seldon –

 

“…The «aufheben» process, whether in its ‘allo-«aufheben»’ or its ‘auto-«aufheben»’ species, is a ‘unified combination’ of CONSERVATION [the ‘evolute’ moment of the «aufheben» process, as mirrored in the ‘«aufheben» double conservation evolute multiplication rule’ axiom, holding that, for all j and k in N –

 

q_j x q_k  =  q_k + q_j+k

– in which the k subscript is “conserved” in both product terms], with EXTINCTION or “determinate negation” [the ‘convolute’ moment of the «aufheben» process, as mirrored in the ‘«aufheben» meta-heterosis convolute multiplication rule’, an, empirically faulty, axiom, holding that, for all j and k in N –

q_j x q_k  =  q_j+k

– in which the q_k quality/term[, and the q_j quality/term’] do not “survive” the «aufheben» ‘product-tion’ process], and with ONTOLOGICAL INNOVATION [‘qualo-fractal scale’ elevation, as in the q_j+k term/quality/category of both the ‘evolute’ and ‘convolute’ «aufheben» product rules/axioms].”

 

“All three together, in their ‘unified combination’, or ‘‘‘complex unity’’’, we call the category of ‘covolute volutenesses’, as the ‘uni-category’ forged by the opposition of ‘evolute volutenesses’ and ‘convolute volutenesses’:

with q_E denoting the category of ‘Evolutenesses’, q_C the category of Convolutenesses, and q_O the category of ‘cOvolutenesses’, we solve as follows –

“In ‘covolute’ «aufheben» progressions, some antecedent kinds, «aufheben»-interacting via the «monads» which they collectively represent, survive, and continue, ‘evolutely’, in[to] subsequent phases of the dialectic of their Domain, but others, ‘convolutely’, do not.”
