Seldonian
Dialectic Method –
Simplest Solution Procedure.
Dear Reader,
We want to illustrate, for you,
here, the simplest procedure so far discovered for generating dialectical categorial
progression comprehensions of the ontological contents of given ontological Domains, for either their diachronic, historical dialectics,
or their synchronic, systematic-taxonomic dialectics.
For this algorithm, you don’t
need the ‘meta-exponentiation’ operation, or even the [mere] “exponentiation”
operation. You don’t need ‘category-symbol’
multiplication. You don’t even need a ‘meta-equation’,
or any equation, to generate a Seldonian ontological dialectical categorial
progression that might serve you as a systematic, taxonomic outline of contents,
or as a “genetic”, chronological table of contents, for a text about your chosen
subject-matter Domain.
You just need to determine
the ‘starting-category’, or «arché»-category, for your Domain of interest.
We will illustrate this procedure/algorithm, below, by applying it to a special
example, that of the biggest known Domain of all, the universe Domain, to derive the first eight ‘category-symbol’ terms
of our ‘Dialectic of Nature’ ontological categorial series or progression for
the history of Nature. We will start it
from the ontological category of pre-atomic/sub-atomic “particles”,
e.g., of “non-composite” and composite “bosons” and “fermions”, as our known
‘starting- category’, using the ‘category-symbol’ qr.
However, first, in general,
this method can be described by the following five steps –
1. First write down your ‘category-symbol’ for
your ‘starting-category’.
2. Then place, to its right, the same ‘category-symbol’,
but with the subscript for that ‘category- symbol’ appended again, next to that
subscript, perhaps with a sign for ‘physical addition’ – ‘‘‘non-amalgamative’’’
addition – between those, now two, ‘category symbols’, thus forming a second ‘category-symbol’
with a double, repeat subscript.
3. Now, replace that repeat-subscript with a
single, different subscript that solves for your meaning for the new units of
the new category created by the mutual combination of some of the units of your
‘starting-category’.
4. From then on, just copy your last ‘category-symbol’,
to the right of itself, but simply add the subscript for your ‘starting-category’
to the right of the subscript of your copy of your last ‘category symbol’. Try to find a single character that
characterizes, and can replace, multiple subscripts by a lesser number of
subscripts, even a single subscript.
Continue iterating this step,
and step 5., until a ‘category-symbol’ results for whose potential meaning you
cannot solve.
5. Whenever this adding of the ‘starting
category’ subscript creates a repeat-subscript, then replace that repeat-subscript
with the single subscript by which you solved for that repeat-subscript previously,
in this, your ‘category-symbols’ series.
Our example follows.
1. qr.
2. qr <+> qrr, with qrr describing a
category whose units are combinations of “particles”, i.e., “atoms”.
3. qr <+> qa, with subscript a for category “atoms”.
4.1. qr <+> qa <+> qar ® qr <+> qa <+> qs.; with subscript s for category “1st-generation stars”.
4.2. qr <+> qa <+> qs <+> qsr; as qsr is also qarr, and as we previously solved for subscript rr as subscript a, we replace qsr with qaa, and, 5., solve qaa as describing a
category whose units are combos of “atoms”, i.e., are “molecule” units.
4.3. qr <+> qa <+> qs <+> qm <+> qmr; as qmr describes combos
of molecules with “particles”, we solve this ‘category-symbol’ as describing
mainly and initially the interactions of
particle fluxes on the molecules forming in “molecular clouds”, and the
interaction-products of those interactions, e.g., ‘molecular photo-disintegrations’.
4.4. qr <+> qa <+> qs <+> qm <+> qmr <+> qmrr; as we previously solved rr as a, 5., we replace qmrr by qma, the latter symbol describing, mainly, the, still ongoing, conversions/combinations of unbonded atoms into new molecules inside molecular clouds, as catalyzed by the molecules already formed in those “molecular clouds”.
Recall that “molecular clouds” had to have started out as – ‘molecule-less’
– ‘atomic clouds’, so
that later, ‘mostly-molecular clouds’ would
still contain, and be episodically replenished with, many fresh, chemically-unbonded
atoms, so that
conversions of atom units into molecule units is ongoing within those interstellar clouds
–
qr <+> qa <+> qs <+> qm <+> qmr <+> qma.
4.5. qr <+> qa <+> qs <+> qm <+> qmr <+> qma <+> qmar;
As we previously solved subscript ar as subscript s, we replace subscript mar by subscript ms, whose ‘category-symbol’ describes the interaction of molecules with proto-planetary discs [“proplyds”] in
accelerating stars’ [and planets’]
formation*
–
qr <+> qa <+> qs <+> qm <+> qmr <+> qma <+> qms;
4.6. qr <+> qa <+> qs <+> qm <+> qmr <+> qma <+> qms <+> qmsr;
as subscript s comes from subscript ar, subscript msr is replaceable by subscript marr. As we have earlier, 5., solved subscript rr as subscript a, subscript marr is replaceable by subscript maa. As we have previously solved for subscript aa, 5., as subscript m, subscript maa is replaceable by subscript mm.
Subscript mm, 5., describes, for us, the new units of a new
category, whose units combine molecule
units.
We therefore solve subscript mm as describing prokaryotic cell units,
e.g., bacteria cell units, albeit such units are presently known to exist, so far, only
on planet Earth.
However, we here hypothesize that such cell units will be found, in the future of human deep space
observation and exploration, to be ubiquitous across our cosmos, so that the
ontological category of “prokaryotes” will then be seen
to constitute a cosmological category in its own right.
Our ‘Dialectic of Nature’ or ‘Historical
Dialectic of Natural History’ ontological categorial progression is thus now –
qr <+> qa <+> qs <+> qm <+> qmr <+> qma <+> qms <+> qp.
Further iteration of steps 4.
and 5. can reach to a total progression of 128 ‘category-symbols’ for dialectical
ontological categories by the iteration-stage in which the ontological category
of ‘humanitys’, denoted by ‘category-symbol’ qh, is generated by this procedure.
