Processes
in
Human Languages.
Dear Reader,
Even just phonetically-written
word units, in the
Domain of Written Languages, D = WL,
are already dialectical, «aufheben» ‘meta-unit-izations’ of phonetic
character units, of phonetic letter units.
Each word unit is an «aufheben» ‘meta-unit’ of/in-relation-to
multiple letter units,
each typical written word unit being made up out of a usually heterogeneous multiplicity of written
phonetic letter units. Exceptions to this description include examples
such as the English words “a” and “I”, and the Spanish word “y”.
In the NQ ideographical-mathematical-dialectical language, those exceptions come under the ‘ideo-ontological’ category --
symbolized by qwl [---) q3 --
not under the ‘ideo-ontological’ category symbolized by --
qll |-º qw [---) q2.
This is because the systematic-dialectical
category-symbol qwl connotes the «aufheben»
‘‘‘elevation’’’ of an individual phonetic letter unit up into the higher ‘ideo-ontological
qualo-fractal scale’ of typically multi-letter word units, albeit ‘‘‘elevating’’’ such words up into
the exceptional sub-category of ‘single-letter word units’, as a kind of dialectical, categorial ‘‘‘synthesis’’’
of the quality of ‘word-ness’ and/with the quality of ‘letter-ness’.
An analogous phenomenon
occurs in the systematic dialectic of the Domain of television programming, D = TP,
when standalone television program units, taken as being, in effect, singleton ‘‘‘episode’’’ units
for non-series, serve as the units of this Domain’s «arché»-category, qe [---) q1, in the [rare, exceptional] cases of series which are
cancelled right after the airing of their first, “pilot”, episodes.
Such a pilot episode is part of such an aborted series, but of
a series
nonetheless. Therefore, such an episode is not
part of the category qee |-º qS [---) q2, which stands for the category of combinations of multiple episode units
as the consolidated unit of the category of series
meta-units, ‘«aufheben»-ing’ episode units, such that each series unit is
made up out of a heterogeneous multiplicity of episode units.
Instead, such a pilot episode – of a television series terminated after its pilot episode aired, and before any second episode could be completed and/or aired – belongs to the exceptions-category symbolized by --
qwe [---) q3.
That category connotes a kind
of «aufheben»-elevation of single episode units
up into the higher ‘qualo-fractal scale’ of television series units,
as a kind of dialectical, categorial ‘‘‘synthesis’’’ of ‘episode-ness’
and/with ‘series-ness’,
per category-symbol qwe.
Back in the Written Language Domain, an “acronym” is a meta1-unit of/in-relation-to word units, hence also a meta2-unit, or meta1-meta1-unit, of/in-relation-to written letter-units. It thus forms a sub-category added to the category symbolized by the NQ category-symbol --
qww [---) q4
-- whose main sub-category is that of phrases, qp.
A phrase unit is a meta1-unit to word units as meta0-units. This is
because each single phrase unit
is typically made up out of a heterogeneous multiplicity of word units.
However, a typical acronym unit also fits the above description/definition,
each such acronym
unit also being made
up out of a heterogeneous multiplicity of word units.
For example, consider the
example of the acronym LASER, which became the new, ‘‘‘second-order’’’, “word”/noun/name,
later/now written as “laser”: L-A-S-E-R is
made up out of the following heterogeneous multiplicity of ‘‘‘first-order’’’ words
– Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.
This
sub-category might also be connoted by the symbol for the ‘‘‘anti-category’’’
or ‘reverse category’ version of the, perhaps nearly empty*, sign qpw, namely qwp [---) q6. Given the order of its subscripts, qwp connotes a category of cases of conversions of a phrase units ‘“back”’ into a word units.
*[Category-symbol qpw connotes an «arithmos»
of single word «monads»
raised up into the ‘qualo-fractal ideo-ontological scale’ of the «arithmos»
of phrase
«monads»”: ‘single-word phrases’.]
